The Spiritual Care Department welcomes you to our hospital. Our goal is
to provide you with quality, holistic spiritual care which treats the
whole person: body, mind, and spirit. We believe all human beings deserve
to be treated with respect and compassion.
Our professional chaplains are Board Certified and provide spiritual care
to patients and families of diverse backgrounds, as well as to those who
may not embrace a particular faith or organized religion. Chaplains also
provide spiritual care to hospital staff.
A priest chaplain is available daily to provide the sacraments for “Anointing
of the Sick,” “Reconciliation” and the “Last Rites.”
For emergency Spiritual Care support after 3:30 PM (Mon. – Sun.),
patients and family members are asked to contact their parish priest,
minister, or church representative.
At St. Mary’s Medical Center, Catholic Mass is celebrated on Wednesdays,
at 11:30 p.m., in the Holy Family Chapel which is located slightly inside
the main front entrance to the medical center. The Holy Family Chapel
is open 24/7 for quiet contemplation and prayer, and all are welcome!
To have a chaplain paged, dial “0” for the medical center operator,
or speak with your nurse.
