Before Surgery
Before surgery, joint center participants receive a comprehensive orientation packet outlining how to prepare for surgery and what to expect on the day of surgery and during recovery following total joint replacement. Additionally, participants meet with the program coordinator. This pre-admission visit provides ample time for participants to ask questions as well as discuss preparation for and recovery from total joint replacement.

The Joint and Spine Institute sponsors a monthly joint pain relief seminar. The seminars are the second Tuesday of each month, 10 a.m.-noon. These seminars are free, but reservations are recommended. Call 816-655-5555 to register.
