Julie Porter, RN

Delivering babies is my passion. Every new baby is a miracle. It still is a truely amazing thing when that new little figure is finally here after months of preparation and takes its very first breath. I am privileged to witness this miracle almost every day, and, if only for a few days to be a part of this new family. To support mom as she experiences the uncertainties and joys of labor and delivery and to help during those first few days while she and her newborn get better acquainted is so personally rewarding. What stands out most to me are the rare occurences, when things don't go quite perfect. When a labor experience is not going as planned and mom's or baby's health...or life is at risk, I'm confident my knowledge and skills will help a mother and baby make it safely through. To have been part of saving a life is an experience like no other and I feel so blessed to be able to make such a difference.
